We are passionate about helping others because we have been through really hard times.
Whitney has worked in housing for nearly a decade. Having been homeless herself for over 2 years she is passionate about community housing initiatives and works in the nonprofit sector. Her family is very important to her and a core value that guides her life.

She enjoys crafting things and DIY projects. She also feels at peace swimming. Whitney used to swim competitively and she hopes to one day coach others in some fashion. She has an infectious laugh and a big heart.
Ruth was born in the midwest and as a teenager moved to Washington with her Mother. Life wasn't easy and she got in trouble a lot, one could say she didn't find her way. That changed in her late 20's and early 30's due to a set of rather extreme circumstances and regrettable series of mistakes that led to the most beautiful and un-regrettable transformation of her life.

Now she works in the nonprofit legal sector, she has worked as a peer counselor and is passionate about the justice involved community, their families, and the communities impacted.
Whitney and Ruth met on June 8th, 2023 on a dating app called HER, a dating app for Queer people. At that time they were practicing Ethical Non-Monogamy or, more plainly, polyamory. They were both in other relationships. Over several months Ruth and Whitney connected and drew closer but as time passed and their other relationships naturally ended they decided to date exclusively. Now they are thinking about starting a family after marriage.

As individuals they have lived hard times and have put themselves through hard situations. Made many mistakes over their lives and have paid hefty consequences at times. The result, though, is a shared experience that led to deep empathy for their communities, a willingness to self-reflect and understand how they impact the world around them and the ability to help individuals back from seemingly impossible situations.

As a couple they are thinking about business and home ownership and invite advice (it just never seems like the right time to do either)!
